Instruction of Trainers Program

• Teaches mastery of prevention and intervention techniques.
• Designed for the certification of board ("in-house") Trainers.
• 21 hours of curriculum content plus 2 to 3 hours of on-line preparation.
• Certification requires a demonstration of physical competence and completion of a written test.
• Annual re-certification requires 6 hours of classroom time.
• Class sizes for Trainers range from 4 to 8.

Training of Practitioners Program

• Teaches competence in prevention and intervention techniques.
• Designed for the certification of staff Practitioners (teachers, educational assistants and child and youth workers).
• Delivered by local board Trainers.
• 8 hours of curriculum content plus 1 hour of on-line preparation.
• Certification requires a demonstration of physical competence and completion of a written test.
• Annual re-certification requires 3 hours of classroom time.
• Class size for Practitioners is 20.
